Customer satisfaction: 99.4% success rate & only 0.6% follow-up corrections
In international comparison: Why 0.6% corrections are the lowest possible

At the YOUSEE Group, all recommendations for or against
laser eye surgery are based on the latest scientific findings.
As there are no corresponding recommendations from the Swiss Ophthalmological Society (SOG) in Switzerland, we follow the guidelines of the German Commission for Refractive Surgery (KRC).
We only recommend surgery if the individual values are within the safe range. In borderline cases where the KRC still allows surgery, we advise against it.
Our Chief Medical Officer, Prof. Theo G. Seiler, MD, FEBO Ophthalmologist FMH, regularly gives lectures at the KRC, thereby contributing to the increased safety of laser eye surgery in German-speaking countries.
There are no specific guidelines for laser eye surgery in Switzerland.
The German guidelines are de facto international standards.
YOUSEE's internal guidelines are even stricter.
Our ophthalmologist, Prof. Theo G. Seiler, MD, FEBO Ophthalmologist FMH, regularly gives lectures to the German commission.
The data presented here is continuously updated by us:
as of October 2024
Femto-Lasik is the most commonly used procedure worldwide.
Of the 4,500 eyes examined, Femto-LASIK was used as the method for laser eye surgery in 3,992 eyes.
In 97.8% of all cases, no further correction was necessary within 1 to 3 months after the laser eye surgery.
At the annual check-up, 12 months after the laser eye surgery, this was still the case for 97.64% of the eyes examined.
Further information on Femto-Lasik can be found here.

Trans-PRK is also a very safe procedure, but has a slightly longer healing time than Femto-Lasik.
Of the 4,500 eyes examined, Trans-PRK was used as the laser eye surgery method in 508 eyes.
In 97.1% of all cases, no further correction was necessary within 1 to 3 months after the laser eye surgery.
At the annual check-up, i.e. 12 months after the laser eye surgery, this was the case for 97.53% of the eyes examined.
Further information on Trans-PRK can be found here.

We offered free follow-up laser treatment to every patient who was subjectively dissatisfied with their vision.
Only 0.6% of all patients in the YOUSEE group took advantage of this offer.
This is a very good result by international standards::
Here, 94.1% of all patients are subjectively satisfied after laser eye surgery, meaning that 5.9% of all patients require follow-up laser treatment.
This ongoing study enables our doctors to identify risk factors even more accurately, allowing us to provide you with even more precise advice.
The risk factors identified include very high astigmatism, very high diopter values, and monovision.
The findings from our studies are incorporated into our comprehensive preliminary examination, enabling us to better inform you about your individual risks.
