How long does the brief examination take?

The free preliminary examination takes about 30 minutes. It will determine whether you are suitable for laser eye surgery. Your eyes will be measured and you will receive detailed advice on the procedures.

Will I be contacted or pressured after consulting YOUSEE?

No, never. YOUSEE does not use high-pressure sales tactics, which are unfortunately common in the industry. We do not call you afterwards and do not put pressure on you. The decision is always yours. We are doctors and only recommend surgery if it is medically advisable and safe.

Why does YOUSEE reject more patients than other providers?

What is the connection between YOUSEE and IROC?

IROC (Institute for Refractive and Ophthalmic Surgery) was founded in Zurich in 2002 by Prof. Dr. Dr. Theo Seiler and is an internationally recognized specialist clinic and research facility. The YOUSEE locations are specialized laser eye centers that make IROC's expertise and quality standards accessible for standardized laser eye corrections. Complex cases are referred to IROC or other specialists.

Is laser eye surgery at YOUSEE painful?

The laser eye treatment itself is painless, as anesthetic eye drops are used. With Trans-PRK, you may experience pain in the first 2–3 days after the operation, but you will be informed about this in detail beforehand. With Femto-LASIK and KLEx/SMILE, healing is usually much faster and less painful.
