YOUSEEBASEL premises.
Welcome to YOUSEEBASEL, your laser eye surgery center in Baloise Park. You can find us at
Aeschengraben 29 in 4051 Basel,
an address that combines excellent accessibility, modern infrastructure, and pleasant surroundings.
Our laser eye surgery center is optimally connected to public transportation: Basel Central Station is only a few minutes' walk away.

Baloise Park at the main train station was completed in 2020, and YOUSEEBASEL opened a year later in Park Ost. This building, designed by Graubünden architect Valerio Olgiati, impresses with its unusual architecture and is located on Parkweg next to the Mövenpick Hotel.
The statue “Das Dritte Tier” (The Third Animal) by German artist Thomas Schütte appears to be blowing steam from its nostrils, but it is actually cold water that is atomized inside.
If you have any questions about our services, would like more information about laser eye surgery,
or need help scheduling an appointment, please feel free to send us a message.
How can we help you?
We want all patients to feel welcome and well cared for: from their arrival to the atmosphere on site.
Of course our laser eye center is barrier-free:
The entrance to the building has a ramp and our practice rooms are easily accessible by elevator. Even patients in wheelchairs or with walking aids can visit us without any obstacles.
Basel SBB train station is largely barrier-free with assistance services such as the Mobilift, folding ramps, customer assistants and shuttle services.
We take the time to conduct a particularly thorough analysis of your eyes to determine whether laser eye treatment is medically appropriate for you. You will always receive an honest assessment and a recommendation that is tailored to your individual needs.
Your health comes first: Not everything that is technically feasible is also sensible, which is why we advise against surgery if we are not 100% convinced about the procedure. No other center turns away as many patients as we do, because we only treat when it is really safe and medically sensible.
YOUSEE was founded by the inventor of laser eye surgery. Prof. Dr. Dr. Theo Seiler performed the world's first laser eye surgery in the 1980s. This expertise is incorporated into every treatment. Our specialists were personally trained by Prof. Seiler and continue his vision of making the highest quality medical care accessible to all.
This was also part of the vision of our founder Prof. Dr. Dr. Seiler: laser eye surgery
at the highest medical standard must be affordable for everyone, here locally, without having to travel abroad just because of the price.
Our prices are simple, low, and without hidden fees. Of course, you can also pay in installments.
Our laser eye surgery centers are medically managed and part of a second-generation family business. Swiss quality standards and continuous research ensure that you can rely on state-of-the-art laser eye surgery technology and a first-class team in Basel. Personalized care without time pressure, transparent advice, and a feel-good atmosphere are a matter of course for us.

At the YOUSEE Eye Laser Center in Basel, we offer various eye laser procedures and other refractive corrections: individually selected and tailored precisely to your needs. Laser eye surgery generally refers to the correction of vision problems using a laser. A high-precision laser reshapes the cornea in such a way that nearsightedness, farsightedness, or astigmatism are permanently eliminated. Many people are suitable candidates for laser surgery and can usually see clearly without visual aids for the rest of their lives.
Trans-PRK is an advanced form of PRK: an excimer laser gently removes the epithelial layer without contact (hence “no-touch”), without the use of mechanical instruments. In the same step the underlying tissue can be sculpted to permanently, precisely, and gently correct vision impairments.

Femto-LASIK is the most well-known laser eye surgery procedure worldwide. At YOUSEE in Basel we use state-of-the-art medical technology to perform your LASIK procedure as gently and precisely as possible. First, the femtosecond laser prepares a wafer-thin corneal flap, which the surgeon carefully lifts. Then, an excimer laser corrects the vision defect underneath. Finally, the flap is carefully replaced.

Lenticule extraction, known as KLEx (Keratorefractive Lenticule Extraction) in our practice and also under the brand name SMILE, is the latest laser eye surgery procedure. It also uses a femtosecond laser, which cuts out a tiny lens-shaped piece of tissue from inside the cornea. The doctor removes this disc through the corneal opening via a micro-access point measuring just a few millimeters. Removing the disc changes the shape of the cornea in such a way that the vision impairment is corrected: without any incisions on the surface.

At our laser eye surgery center in Basel, we will find the right solution to improve your vision safely and effectively.
We will explain the differences between the various methods in a way that is easy to understand and recommend the laser eye treatment that
makes the most sense for you from a medical standpoint.
The goal is always: maximum vision quality with minimum risk.
